GRANGER TWP. — The Highland football team finished the game with a running clock against what many thought was the strongest opponent on its schedule, but the Hornets aren't getting ahead of themselves and thinking about an undefeated regular season.
Amherst, which emerged victorious at the Grey Hawk Invitational on Tuesday, was unable to replicate the success, though it did finish eighth out of 22 teams.
The sophomore shot a 2-over-par 74 -- 14 strokes ahead of everyone else -- and Keystone posted four of the top six scores of the day on its way to a 347 total. The Wildcats finished 58 strokes ahead of second-place Bay (405).
